Late Summer Post

My 2011 summer has been one of the most memorable ones I've ever had and not to mention the busiest. I went from one place to another, been with different people, and been reunited to those I haven't seen for the longest time. I've savored every moment of it and took as many pictures as I can (which you'll be seen here in a while). I haven't been online for a long time also hence the lack of blog posts which I am really sorry about. If blogging were a job, I would have been fired a long time ago. But I promise to tell you all about it one by one. So, allow me to take you back to April.

During the second week of April, I went as a volunteer for the Panaad Festival. I was to help my Uncle organize an event assigned to him, which was the Composo competition where each contestant has to perform a song they originally composed. You might ask what Panaad Festival is. Panaad Festival is the mother of all festivals in Negros Occidental. Each town or city had built a small booth representing their own place. They also showcase their products through their booths. Other contests were also held which allows the towns and cities to show their talents.

So, as a volunteer, I had some priveleges like meeting local celebrities and being near the stage suring contests.

I was also able to bond with my cousins because they were also volunteers there.

But all in all, I had so much fun being there and being able to witness the event itself.

Missing Out

I have been missing a lot of family gatherings already because I haven't been home for a long while. F*ck the distance! I had missed two birthdays of my dear cousins already, and that just means twice missing out on family fun and laughters. I just learned this morning that they celebrated one of my cousin's birthday last night, and I hadn't even known! If I did, I certainly would have made a way to be home and see them, but too sad I didn't. I really, really miss them all. All those cute faces of my younger cousins, and the teases of the older ones. Oh my. Not to mention the lovely dishes that our parents make for us,like the hash browns, salads, tempura, popcorns and a whole lot more.
Two more weeks. Just TWO MORE f*cking weeks and I'll be home and enjoying summer already! (I wish!). I'm really looking forward to our Negros tour together this summer. And of course, the summer job! Fast forward please.
Just look at these faces, and those sincere smiles. Won't you yourself miss them? =')

P.S. Sorry for the F-word. I just can't help it.="D

Family Bonding

Last Friday,I was able to go back home after a whole month of since we didn't have any school activities that weekend. God, I missed my family so much. It not so usual for me to be away from home that long since it's just pretty near,if you count an island away near, and I always get to go home every weekend. Yeah, so when I arrived, my dad's driver picked me up at the pier. I thought when I was going to my dad's workplace, we were just gonna wait for my mom  and go home directly. I didn't know they planned to have a dinner somewhere as a "welcome back" for me and a late celebration for their wedding anniversary. They originally planned to have it at a seafood restaurant but I was craving for pizza and there was a newly opened pizzeria neat my dad's workplace,so we decided to try it out. We waited for my brother to arrive from school and then went there and eat pizza!

I forgot the name of the pizza that we had, but we had it at XL, 18 inches. My mom even thought it wasn't enough for us and originally ordered an XXL,good thing she learned it was 32in and cancelled it immediately.

Yum!

Concentrate on your work, kuya!

My mom looked so stressed.=(

Boy talk!

I missed my brother so much! He's so tall now and he's even 2 years younger than me. Sad,right?

I'm gonna see them again maybe tomorrow or on Friday since we don't have school on Friday. Excited!
